Verizon Family - Set Message Limits
- From the Verizon Family Guardian app, tap the Family Profiles tab.
- Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
- From the Parental Controls section, tap Restrict usage.
- From the Manage controls section, tap Text limits.
Tap Text limit.
This option is unavailable for lines on the justkids plan or Android tablets.Enter the text limit.
Once the limit is reached, text messaging is restricted (except to/from trusted contacts) until the next billing cycle.Your Dependent receives a free text alert when they're within 15 messages of the limit; You receive an alert once they've reached the limit.- Tap Save.

Verizon Family - Remove Message Limits
- From the Verizon Family Guardian app, tap the Family Profiles tab.
- Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
- From the Parental Controls section, tap Restrict usage.
- Tap Text Limits.
- Tap Remove limit (bottom).
- To confirm, tap Remove.
Notes:
- This isn't available for lines on the Just Kids plan*, as their texting is always limited to trusted contacts only.
- Over the Top (OTT) data (e.g., iMessage) has to be managed directly on the device.
